Maintaining the integrity of City Park and raising awareness about the issues facing our environment are key missions of Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. Pledge to do your part to minimize waste, lower your carbon footprint, and support sustainable business at the festival!


Why it matters: Transportation to and from the festival is the main source of carbon emissions for the event.

What you can do: Take the low-emission route to and from the festival. Carpool, bike, walk, or take public transportation.


Why it matters: Most plastic used in the world today is for single-use items. Nearly a million plastic beverage bottles are sold every minute. Worldwide, half a trillion disposable cups are manufactured, and over 500 billion plastic bottles are used every year.

What you can do: Pre-purchase your commemorative reusable commemorative cup here. Voodoo Fest also provides free, cool, filtered water at Hydration Stations throughout the park to help you go refillable! 106,346 plastic bottles were diverted through our Water Refill Stations at Voodoo Fest 2018. Why it matters: Every year, 9 Million tons of plastic waste ends up in the ocean, a trillion plastic bags are used worldwide, and 500 million plastic straws are used a day.

What you can do: Use provided trash and recycling bins and get rewarded for going above and beyond through the festival’s Rock & Recycle Program, where you can earn a commemorative artist designed and sustainably made festival T-shirt and a chance to win a pair of tickets to Voodoo Fest 2020! 375 fans Rocked & Recycled at Voodoo Fest 2018!


Why it matters: Fair trade, local, organic, and vegetable-focused items are the least environmentally damaging.

What you can do: Seek out plant based, organic, locally sourced meal options at the festival from our list of vendors at the Forked up Food Court or by joining us for Feast Under The Stars the night before Voodoo.


Why it matters: The issues that are facing our environment won’t stop when the music ends. Voodoo Cares provides non-profit and cause related organizations a platform to reach thousands of people beyond the festival.
